What prompted you to make a change in your business?

It started in 2010, when I visited Holland, I was invited by the Dutch government to visit the printing press in the Netherlands. The printing press were starting to convert into Digital from Offset.

What can you do now with Ricoh that you couldn't before?

The Offset cannot give me the speed my customers demanded. They are also requesting quality and innovation they require. Like variable data printing, extra colors aside from RGB.

How have Ricoh's solutions benefited your employees and customers?

Ricoh have made us confident of meeting our deadline. There are no issues in color management. Our production schedules are always met, and we rarely had a downtime.

Why did you choose Ricoh as a partner?

I have machines for a decade of different brands like Fuji, HP Indigo, Konica Minolta, Canon and finally Ricoh. Ricoh is the best. Why Ricoh? Ease in financing. I was asked to make a downpayment of 20%, and I demanded that the machine be delivered in two weeks, Ma’am Irene kept her promise. On the third week, we were already operating the machine. The quality is better, the after sales service was available even after 5pm. Ricoh has the focus to help my operators even in time of dire need. The bond between our staff is very cordial.

How did Ricoh work with you during implementation?

Ricoh can meet the challenge of the changing times. From a colored production printer Ricoh Pro C7100, to mono production printer Pro 8300, black & white which is needed for our Print on Demand publishing platform. One time, I got a call from London England. The customer said that they need a printer who can deliver On Demand Photobook souvenirs for their upcoming event. A month later, they asked for my machine, and I told them it’s Ricoh Pro C7100. They had a 2-day event a month later, Friday & Saturday were the Gala and Forum. As agreed, the client sent their files on Saturday at 6pm. They want to have it delivered at 6am on Sunday. Ricoh assigned a repairman the whole night, while were working until dawn. And yes, the Photobooks were on their table during breakfast at 6 am on Sunday.

How does Ricoh support your business goals?

Some printing press does not realize that having constant conversation with Ricoh can be helpful. They have new product innovations and printing technologies; these differentiate from their competitors.

What advice would you give to peers considering Ricoh?

Advise is don’t go to other companies. Their combination of quality, dedication to service and professional relationships are the best. As a customer I always insist that I should be served. Other companies just answered me when I started pleading for service. Ricoh has more repairmen than the competitors they are dedicated workers.

Would you recommend Ricoh?

I recommend Ricoh to my colleagues in the printing industry. Who would always refer to me about a certain printer machine. I give them tips like professional people, reliable machines, precise front and back printing which have increased production in my shop. I am negotiating with Ricoh for a third machine early next year. It’s Ricoh no other brand.
